The total number of active internet connections in Belgium was 4.382.123 during the fourth quarter of 2018. This represents an increase of 2.22 % compared to Q4 2017. During the third quarter of 2018, the total number of active internet connections in Belgium was 4.349.988. An increase of 2.45 % over the last year. During the first and second quarter there were respectively 4.306.209 and 4.348.483 internet connections in Belgium.
In the fourth quarter, the number of residential connections grew to a total of 3.950.853 connections in Belgium. This represents an increase of 2.07 % in comparison with the same period in 2017 and of 0.56 % compared to the third quarter of 2018. In the first quarter of 2018, there were 3.889.264 residential connections.
In the business market, the number of internet connections has increased with 15.090 lines to 431.270 lines, which represents an increase of 3.63 % compared with Q4 of 2017 and 2.39 % compared to Q3 2018. The first quarter of 2018 counted 416.945 business connections.
In the fourth quarter of 2018 there is a net growth of 95.340 connections compared to last year. The total number of active internet connections in Belgium reached a total of 4.382.123 and represents an increase of 2.22 % compared to Q4 of 2017.

The total number of active Internet connections in Belgium (3.972.705) increased by 1.16% in the second quarter of 2015, which is a net growth of 45.728 connections.
On the residential market grew with 44.347 new connection to a total of 3.587.218 connections, representing an increase of 1.25% over the first quarter; in the business market the number of Internet connections has increased with 1.381 to 385.487 lines, an increase of 0,36%.

The total number of active Internet connections in Belgium reaches 3,850,778 connections during the third quarter of 2014 .
The number of residential connections grew to a total of 3.165.417 connections in Belgium. This represents an increase of 0.66% over the second quarter.
In the business market the number of Internet connections has increased with 1385 to 685.361 lines, which represents an increase of 0,20% compared with the previous quarter. The total number of dialup connections stayed at 164.
In the third quarter of 2014 there is a net growth of 22.049 connections compared to Q2 – 2014, which is mainly due to the 20.664 new broadband lines in the residential segment.

In the business market the number of Internet connections has increased with 2713 to 683.976 lines, which represents an increase of 0,40% compared with the previous quarter. The total number of dialup connections dropped further to 164.
In the second quarter of 2014 there is a net growth of 24.196 connections compared to Q1 – 2014, which is mainly due to the 21.483 new broadband lines in the residential segment.

The total number of active Internet connections in Belgium (3,595,747) increased by 1.02% in the third quarter of 2012.
The number of residential connections grew by 29,076 lines to a total of 2,921,302 connections in Belgium. This represents an increase of 1.01% over the previous quarter.
In the business market the number of Internet connections grew by 7,082 new lines to 674,445, which represents a growth of 1.06% over the previous quarter.
Both for the consumer and business markets there are almost no more ISPs that offer the older “dialup” connections, as a result of which 99.97% of the of the connections are broadband connections.
