On the 4th of June, the headquarters of Telenet were the setting for ISPA’s yearly networking event, transformed in a summer BBQ for the occasion, at which various key players of the internet sector, as well as numerous ISPA contacts and policy stakeholders, were present.

Accompanied by delightful food and summer temperatures guests had the opportunity to exchange views with each other to discover the newest trends in the internet sector. Henri-Jean Pollet, President of ISPA Belgium, kicked off the event by providing an insight in the global trends affecting the internet sector and the importance of ISPA in this context. John Porter, CEO of Telenet, acknowledged the digital potential of our country and urged companies not too lack behind when it comes to digital transformation and innovation.

Keynote speaker, Digital Agenda Minister Alexander De Croo, gave a comprehensive overview on the digital challenges that our country is facing and need to address if we want to uphold our position as a top student in the current digital revolution. In the spirit of these challenges, Deputy Prime Minister De Croo presented his new plan to enroll super-fast internet in our country, in order to generate innovation and digital development.
