ISPA was delighted to welcome over 50 participants at its 2014 annual networking cocktail on 12 June at the Belgacom headquarters in Brussels. The audience this year again covered a wide range of internet sector players, as well as numerous ISPA contacts and policy stakeholders.

Henri-Jean Pollet, President of ISPA Belgium, kicked off the event by providing an insight in the global trends affecting the internet sector, and the importance of ISPA in that context. Wim De Rynck, Director Regulatory Strategy at Belgacom, addressed the current state of play of the Belgian market and key issues that need to be tackled at national level.

BIPT President Jack Hamande highlighted in his key note speech, the evolution of internet technology and its importance for society, as well as the challenges that are awaiting the sector from a regulatory perspective.
